The 4 Stavros Villas in Chania Crete
There are four villas located in this tranquil rural setting by Gerani Beach , one of the quietest 2 kilometres of beach in North West Crete, yet within a stone's throw of a village and restaurants. Stavros Villas are rated as Class A in self-catering accommodation, where A represents the best and E represents the most humble. This can be understood as quality but not necessarily luxury. Bamboo-lined lanes, olive groves and orange plantations characterise this area.
Set right next to the beach, off a country lane, the villas are situated amidst gardens of Oleander, hibiscus and aromatic Angeliki bushes. Each villa is shaded from behind by palms, olive trees and house-high bamboos. A sense of traditional Greek design is preserved in the interior of the studios and apartments. They are air-conditioned, comfortably furnished and well cared for. The location provides the choice of a large pool , ample sunbathing terraces, gardens, a quiet shore-side taverna and 2 km of flat, quiet sandy beach .
Vine Villa and Garden Villa Sleeps 6-9
Each sleeps 6-8 and have garden next to them (both are only steps away from the beach). Both villas are ideal for a family with teenage children or friends holidaying together, as each villa has a self-contained studio and a self-contained large apartment, each with its own entrance and adjoining front patios but separate back patios. In each villa there is a total of 3 shower-rooms with toilets and two kitchenettes.
Oleander Villa Sleeps 4-8
Oleander Villa was originally a farm building converted by the owners for guests and still has an original farm-house fire place in one bedroom, although in all other respects it has been modernised. It houses 2 self contained medium apartments with separate entrances (a total of 4-8 sleeping places). The villa comprises 4 rooms, two with double beds and two with 2 single sofa-beds which serve as seating and/or beds.
Oleander Villa is ideal for a party of 4 to 8, where young children sleep in the rooms which house the kitchenette section, where there are sofa-beds. The villa has 3 shower rooms with toilets, and two kitchenettes; it is less spacious than Garden Villa or Vine Villa. Each apartment has a small front patio and a back balcony shaded by olive trees and bamboos. Oleander bushes give some seclusion to the front patio. It is a little over 1 minute’s walk to the beach.
Venetia Villa Sleeps 12-18
Venetian Villa (comprising six spacious studio apartments each with a double bed or two singles and a sofa-bed) can be booked in its entirety in April-June and September-October for large parties of 12-18. Cool marble floors, traditional wooden shutter-doors and air-conditioning are welcome features at the hottest times of year.
It is ideal for family reunions, painting holidays and walking parties, as they can take advantage of the combination of cooler temperatures in spring and autumn (70F-80F), summer sunlight, and spacious accommodation for a large party at a very affordable price.
